Installation Requirements:

caWeb 4 is installed onto a Windows 2003 system running the Internet Information Server (IIS) 6.0 (or later). The hardware requirements for the caWeb 4 server components are essentially the same as those for the server on which it is installed. As with any application, faster hardware, more memory, and the latest operating system release will usually result in better performance.

The Harrington Group highly recommends a dedicated server for use with the caWeb 4 application and its database. While caWeb operates efficiently in a shared server environment, a limited number of other Hybrid applications have demonstrated some level of operational conflict with the standard DLLs deployed with caWeb 4.

Users will access caWeb 4 through a web browser, preferably Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. Generally, performance limitations will be due to bandwidth (the speed at which the client can access the web site) rather than hardware capabilities.
